For the last 4-5 years I have been searching for my original prawn balchao recipe. This was a recipe that I had made in Kalina back home, that had turned out well right at the first time. I left the original recipe back home, but maybe this is as close to that prawn balchao as I will find. The prawn balchao recipe I knew did not have any tomatoes. But on the internet, all the balchao recipe’s have tomato in it. Anyway’s this one I have found seems just right, sans tomatoes. Not that I don’t love tomatoes…I like their tangy taste and could add them to anything

Also as a variation of a recipe, once try the vahrevah chef’s recipe for prawn pickle. I guess we can keep it in the fridge for a month or so..

Currently the best way to get my noodles done

Cook them till firm and tender. Drain water out. In a large pan/non stick vessel heat about 2tbsp oil with 2tbsp soya sauce, then add the noodles and toss in the mixture. To this tossed noodles add orange spicy shaan tandoori masala 1.5tsp and again toss. Noodles are orangish and ready to eat by themselves

At the side I can heat chopped veggies, mix cooked shrimps or ribonned omlet and add to the tossed noodles. Simple

Food inspiration… again and after a long time. After a long summer break chockablock with activities, now in my winding down mode and looking and preparing for the coming activities on the horizon.

Still food is food, and without inspiration it is a lackluster task. So here goes. It’s Meera’s Narali Quinoa (Quinoa is also my new focus) and stir fry Arbi (havn’t made Arbi in a long time. It might just pop up when I visit the store next time
